As an Online Teaching Assistant, you will provide support in the delivery and assessment of the JUACS courses during live virtual classes.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Provide academic support to students by delivering tutorials, answering questions, providing explanations, and helping students understand course material.
• Provide one-on-one support to students during online office hours.
• Grade assignments and exams, record and calculate grades, provide feedback for students, facilitate discussions and group activities.
• Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Graduate/Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven strong familiarity with the specific course content.
• Excellent hands-on skills.
• Experience working with students.
• Excellent English communication and organization skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience using Zoom.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with the learning platform Canvas.
• Experience working with students in an online education setting.
